Shape the Future (Geleceğe Yön Ver)
As part of the "Shape the Future" project carried out by the Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG), 90 HSBC Turkey employees from Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara will be mentoring university students for a duration of 1 year as a volunteer.
This project aims to support young people through a mentoring programme, to eliminate financial and social disadvantages, to provide opportunities for young people who have difficulty accessing personal development opportunities by providing guidance from HSBC Türkiye volunteers, and to enable a two way exchange of information and experiences between the two generations.
First Lego League (Bilim Kahramanları Buluşuyor)
"First Lego League" project, implemented in collaboration with the Science Heroes Association (Bilim Kahramanları Derneği) aims to encourage children and young people to imagine themselves as future scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs and sensitive world citizens.
Over 2.400 young people, aged 9 to16, from more than 300 schools participated in tournaments where thematic, scientific and process & teamwork oriented projects are implemented. 800 volunteers supported the project in local, national and international tournaments.
AÇEV Kınık Poyracık Training Centre
Educational programmes primarily for pre-school children with the participation of their families were implemented at the training centre established by the Kınık Municipality in cooperation with the local units and Mother Child Education Foundation (AÇEV) in Kınık. With AÇEV’s expertise, educational activities for families, women and children were carried out and supported. The project aims to make a difference in the lives of individuals by implementing a community based model where women and children can easily access and are supported by education, tailored to their needs.
Anatolian Scholarship Programme
HSBC Türkiye provides scholarships to successful students who are in need of financial support, as part of the programme implemented by Koç University in order to provide equal opportunities in education.
